The Board of LANABLA has been actively working on the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF) as part of the TOPP Project (Together For People and Planet).

This framework is designed to strengthen environmental safety and social management, ensuring that our advocacy for sustainable natural resource governance within the Lake Basin is both effective and inclusive.

By embedding ESSF into our organizational structure, we are:

• Building resilience to withstand challenges and sustain long-term advocacy.
• Enhancing accountability to communities and partners.
• Safeguarding ecosystems while protecting the rights and well-being of people.
• Strengthening governance to ensure smooth, efficient, and impactful operations.

The ESSF is more than a framework it is a commitment to responsible stewardship, inclusive governance, and sustainable futures. Through this work, LANABLA continues to champion the balance between people and planet, ensuring that natural resources in the Lake Basin are managed wisely for generations to come.
