Capacity Building in NRM Monitoring and Compliance Enforcement
LANABLA has identified monitoring and compliance enforcement as a challenge in the basin which is impacting on sustainable natural resources management. There is low and weak natural resources legislations enforcement capacity, coupled with lack of resources for monitoring natural resources utilization.
In this regard, LANABLA will strive to build capacity of law enforcement officers in the county, community-based organizations in NRM such as CFAs, WRUAs, BMUs to realize their mandate. This will include training in climate and environmental crimes and violations, compliance and provision of resources to enhance effectiveness.
