LANABLA and Nyandarua County Government Strengthen Collaboration on Sustainable Waste Management

LANABLA was pleased to welcome Hon. Samuel Mugo, County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Water, Sanitation, Environment, Tourism, Natural Resources and Climate Change, to an engagement focused on strengthening Nyandarua County’s sustainable waste management framework.
His participation reaffirmed the Nyandarua County Government’s appreciation of LANABLA’s contribution to developing the county’s waste management framework and related legislation to promote sustainable solid waste management.
The engagement strengthened collaboration between LANABLA and the County Government in advancing effective environmental policies, sound legal frameworks, and sustainable approaches to waste management. Such partnerships are essential in addressing waste management challenges, protecting the environment and promoting healthier, cleaner and more resilient communities.
Through the ToPP Project supported by WWF-Kenya, LANABLA continues to support inclusive, evidence-informed environmental governance and policy development, with Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) recognised as an important cross-cutting consideration.
LANABLA remains committed to working with county governments and other stakeholders to strengthen environmental governance and advance sustainable waste management solutions for the benefit of present and future generations.
Together, we can build a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Nyandarua County.
