As part of the ToPP Project, the LANABLA team, thematic area Waste Management, paid a courtesy call to the Director of Environment, Nyandarua County.

The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and supporting the County Government in developing its first waste management policy, bill, and legislation. Currently, Nyandarua does not have a formal framework in place, and LANABLA is committed to working collaboratively to ensure that the new system is both sustainable and legally sound.

This engagement marks a significant step toward building resilient environmental governance structures that will protect natural resources and empower communities in the Lake Naivasha Basin. Together, we are laying the foundation for stronger governance and a healthier Lake Naivasha Basin and for sustainable waste management.
