LANABLA facilitated Community Score Card (CSC) in Nakuru and Nyandarua Counties.
Lake Naivasha Basin Landscape Association – LANABLA facilitated Community Score Card (CSC) in Nakuru and Nyandarua Counties. The Scorecards aimed at providing a platform for service providers and users to dialogue, identify challenges, and work together towards addressing issues affecting Lake Naivasha Basin and intensify collaboration in conserving the now threatened natural resource. LANABLA brought together many stakeholders involved in natural resource management and conservation including county governments, civil society, and Water Resource Users Associations among others. The CSC envisioned enabling citizens to assess the quality of public services (horticulture and Water resources management) including projects and the performance of County administrative units
A Community Scorecard is a monitoring and evaluation tool used by beneficiary communities to assess service providers and systematically rate their services and level of satisfaction using a grading system in the form of scores. It is an instrument to exact public accountability.
This CSC was conducted using a participatory approach that brought together all parties involved in either delivery or usage of services. The parties came together to evaluate the quality of services delivered and assess the way the service delivery is done and how best the services can be improved. This process also enhances the relationship that exists between service providers and service users
